Naoki Ito joined W+K Tokyo in November 2009 after leaving GT Tokyo. His works have placed him on the world stage as one of the leaders in digital innovation, and he has been awarded in and outside of Japan, including the five Gold Lions (Cyber, Film, Outdoor, PR) he received in the last three years. One of Ito’s recent works, the real-time interactive documentary “LOVE DISTANCE” in 2009, brought Japan its first Golden Lion in the film category in thirteen years. He has won over 85 awards in the last three yeas. His most recent work “NIKE MUSIC SHOE” was awarded Silver and Bronze Lion at Cannes 2010.

HASHI moved to US in 1968. Since HASHI STUDIO was established in NY in 1974, his artworks has been represented for over 500 leading organizations. In the world of fine art, HASHI continues to release one of a kind photographic pieces. A list of his representative works would start with “Rainbow in Space,” selected as the limited edition art print to accompany a commemorative stamp issue honoring the United Nations University in NY. His other celebrated works include “Cheers,” appearing on Esquire Magazine’s Fiftieth Anniversary Poster. He named a style of expression Action Still Life for finding a momentary motion in Still Life. He combined photographic and painting techniques into the form known as HASHIGRAPHY, as the theme is time and history which is difficult to describe in photography, a unique mode of expression for artworks.

Presently serving as chief creative officer of AKQA, a leading digital media agency in Europe and North America. Has been responsible for creative aspects of large enterprises such as Nike, McDonald's, and Visa. Enjoys a history of winning top international awards: at the Cannes International Lions Advertising Festival was awarded gold, silver, and bronze for the Cyber Gold category; at the London International Advertising Festival received grand prix, gold and silver; has collected the highest awards of the NY ADC. In 2006, assumed office of first vice president of the NY ADC.
